The basic regression model used the log-transformation of lipid-adjusted serum DDE levels as the outcome and the GIS–PUR model based OC estimate, age, BMI, BMI2, sex, ever mixed or loaded pesticides by hand, and ever applied pesticides in the home as predictor variables.

Influential observations had dffits statistic values greater than 2*sqrt[(k + 1)/(nk − 1)] where k = number of predictor variables and n = sample size.
