12-pulse stimulation reveals the difference between fast and slow domains. Evoked DA overflow is observed in the fast domain (a) following each stimulus intensity ranging from 150 to 450 μA, whereas DA is only present in the slow domain (b) during 350 and 450 μA 12-pulse stimulations. The average (±SEM) maximum DA amplitude (c) is significantly increased by stimulus intensity in the fast domain.
