No significant reduction in the number of motor neurons in the lumbar region of the spinal cord.

(A) Motor neurons were stained (Nissl) and counted at different ages. No change in number of motor neurons was detected in GanΔex1;Δex1 mice when compared to wild-type littermates. (B) Grip strength test was carried out at 6 months old mice. No weakness of the hind limbs was detected in GanΔex1;Δex1 mice when compared to heterozygous and wild-type littermate (n=5).
