Panel (A) shows control protoplasts (in bright field) inoculated with LIYV and M5 GFP and (B) shows fluorescence of protoplasts inoculated with LIYV and M5 GFP followed by cerulenin (50 uM) treatment. Cerulenin reduced LIYV infectivity (as assessed by protoplast fluorescence); however, in contrast, it did not have effect in TMV infectivity (see Table 1).
