TGF-β1 up-regulates miR-145 and miR-143 in lung fibroblasts. A) Human lung fibroblast line MRC-5 was treated with TGF-β1 for 0, 48, or 96 h. RNA was isolated, and levels of miR-145 and miR-143 were determined by real-time PCR. ***P < 0.001 vs. time 0. B) Human lung fibroblasts were treated with TGF-β1 for 0, 8, or 24 h. RNA was isolated, and levels of pri-miR-143/145, Fn, and SMA-α were determined by real-time PCR. Values are presented as means ± sd; n = 3.
