(A)-(B) Step size historams for outward- (A) and inward- (B) directed resulting in low stall forces (<4 pN). For both kinesin (outward) and dynein (inward), these histograms are likely dominated by single motor-driven active transport. While the distribution in (A) has a peak at ~8 nm, (B) has a broader distribution, which is consistent with the larger steps of dynein.
