Figure 1

Setup for fluorescence correlation spectroscopy (FCS) and fluorescence lifetime correlation spectroscopy (FLCS). Excitation is provided by a 470 nm pulsed diode laser. It is reflected into a 60x 1.2 NA water immersion objective by a 49 wave pass filter. Detection was made with a hybrid photomultiplier detector assembly, and the signal was synchronized with the excitation by a time correlated single photon counting module.
