Electron microscopical image of the Sicastar nanoparticles in dry state. The fact that the size of the nanoparticles in the dry state (D TEM) was nearly the same as in solution indicates that the effect of particle shrinking during the preparation of the samples for TEM is minimal. Sicastar 30: R = 11.7 ± 1.7 nm (±14.3 %), Sicastar 70: R = 32.3 ± 4.1 nm (±12.6 %), Sicastar 300: R = 163.7 ± 11.2 nm (±6.9 %). Scale bar 100 nm
