The three-dimensional structure of AFV3-109 (PDB code: 2J6B). AFV3-109 is an α/β protein. A five stranded β-sheet connected by helices and loops forms the core of AFV3-109. The order of the five strands is β3β1β4β5β2, while β5 is anti-parallel to the others. The knotting loop (colored in yellow) encompasses amino acid residues 8 to 77, including β2, α1, β3, α2 and part of β4. Amino acid residues from 78 to 106, including part of β4, α3 and β5, are threaded through the knotting loop twice and form a threaded loop (colored in red).
