Deoxyshikonin promoted wound healing in vitro by inducing the HMVEC-dLy migration ability. After growing the HMVEC-dLy in culture inserts that create a cell-free gap, migration of cells to fill the gap was monitored at regular intervals. (a) Photograph of cell migration into the gap from 0 to 24 h in deoxyshikonin treatment and control group. (b) The migration ability of the cells was measured using Leica LAS EZ software and the migration distances calculated (mm). (c) The effects of deoxyshikonin on cell proliferation were determined by a proliferation assay and the data are plotted as percentages of control cell proliferation.
