Mice were intraperitoneally inoculated with 25 μL of Staphylococcus aureus (5×10⁹ UFC.mL⁻¹) and 25 μL Escherichia coli (5×10⁷ UFC.mL⁻¹), and treated with EvTI at a dose of 10 mg.kg⁻¹ for 24 h. Imipenem (20 mg.kg⁻¹) was used as positive control and H₂O was used as negative control.
