Obesity was defined as body mass index ≥ 25 kg/m2. §Abdominal obesity was defined as waist circumference ≥ 90 cm in men or 85 cm in women. Hypertension was defined as systolic blood pressure ≥ 140 mm Hg or diastolic blood pressure ≥ 90 mm Hg or use of anti-hypertensive medication. Diabetes mellitus was defined as fasting blood sugar level ≥ 126 mg/dL or use of anti-diabetic medication. **Dyslipidemia was defined as total cholesterol level ≥ 240 mg/dL or triglyceride level ≥ 200 mg/dL or use of anti-dyslipidemia medication.
