Anti-cancer therapy may consist of two steps, the first step for killing rapidly proliferating bulk cancer cells, which are sensitive to chemotherapy and radiotherapy, the second step for targeting CSCs in a resting state, which are resistant to conventional anticancer therapies. After these two steps, all cancer cells will be eradicated.
