Detection of myoepithelial cell components in diabetic mice using real-time quantitative PCR. Decreased Acta1 and Acta2 expression in parotid glands of diabetic NOD mice was defined by real-time quantitative PCR. Means and standard errors of values from four animals are shown. Statistical analysis was performed using unpaired Student's t-tests; significant differences were not detected, although Acta1 and Acta2 tended to have lower expression in diabetic mice.
