A–C, Eyes of NOD SCID mice, injected intravitreally with hASCs at P12 following OIR, and then harvested at P14, demonstrate improved revascularization of central retina as compared to contralateral PBS injected (blue) carrier controls (16.4% reduction, n = 17, p = 0.03). D–F, NOD SCID eyes injected intravitreally with hASCs at P2, prior to OIR, exhibited dramatically less central vascular ablation at P12 than contralateral PBS injected carrier controls (blue) (52.9% reduction, n = 6, p = 0.03). Lines in C and F connect data points for hASC injected and contralateral PBS injected eyes in the same mouse.
