Control: L-EVes showed negligible gentamicin immunolabeling after treatment with saline only. 7d: Ipsilateral and contralateral L-EVes are immunolabeled for gentamicin (green) 7 days post-transtympanic administration. Gentamicin is mainly immunostained within the cytoplasm of neurons. 14d: 14 days post-transtympanic administration of gentamicin, L-EVes show qualitatively decreased intensity of gentamicin immunolabeling compared with 7d.
