In vitro graphene imaging in BT549 breast cancer cells. (a) Transmission contrast displays a cell. (b) SPM contrast highlights the distribution of graphene flakes. (c) Composite image of both transmission and SPM contrasts. Laser power before the objective is 1 mW. Acquisition time is 3.2 s per frame, and the images are averaged over 8 frames. The scale bar is 20 µm. This technique is capable of 3D optical sectioning, and a stack of images at different depths is shown in the Supporting Information movie file.
