GLV-1h153 effectively prevents progression of residual breast tumor at surgical margins in vivo. Residual tumors at surgical margins of control mice grew from an average size of 25 mm³ to 169 mm³ (over a four-fold increase in tumor volume) compared to the average tumor size of treated mice which regressed from 20 mm³ to 14 mm³ in infected surgical margins within four weeks of treatment after resection (P < 0.05). Three out of six of the treated mice demonstrated complete regression of residual tumor.
