In the Melbourne Women’s Midlife Health Project, there were no significant between-group differences on any comparison for immediate or delayed recall on a word-list learning task (see [56]). A. Comparisons based on reproductive stage for 250 midlife women not using hormone therapy. B. Comparisons based on serum total estradiol for 231 midlife women not using hormone therapy, dichotomized as <20 pmol/L and ≥ 20 pmol/L. Results were similar when levels were analyzed continuously and for analyses based on the free estradiol index. C. Comparisons based on use of hormone therapy for 299 midlife women in the late menopausal transition or postmenopause.
