HP1 depletion enhances colony formation of MCF7 breast cancer cells. Equal numbers (100) of MCF7 cells or HP1-depleted MCF7 cells were cultured in each well of six-well plates. Colonies were stained with crystal violet on Day 10. The plating efficiency was between ∼20 and 65%.
