Identification strategy for DS neuropeptides. The CSD LC-FT-MS/MS data from DS, hypothalamus (HT), and prefrontal cortex (PFC) were combined and subjected to database search. The peptides identified from three brain areas were then loaded to differential analysis software to check if each peptide was present in the DS according to its retention time, molecular mass, and charge states. This method allowed identification of low abundance DS peptides as well as the estimation of their expression levels.
