Involvement of hHV1 in B lymphocyte signaling pathways. Antigen binding to the BCR results in phosphorylation of internal signaling molecules, with negative feedback from CD22. BCR stimulation results in NADPH oxidase activation, producing H2O2 that diffuses back into the cell where it inhibits SHP-1, thereby relieving inhibition of BCR signaling by the latter.
