The data are presented as the means (SD) (n = 5 per group). *p<0.05. (D) Histological sections of inflamed colons. Colons were taken on day 8 from mice receiving DSS in their drinking water. Sections were fixed and stained with hematoxylin and eosin (original magnification 40×). Two independent experiments were performed with similar results.
