Most experts believed there would be learning from cositing. Scenarios 2, 3, and 4 entailed one, five, and twenty-four 45-MWe SMRs deployed on a single site, respectively, to create nuclear installations of different capacities. Cositing reactors may decrease a plant’s overnight cost per kilowatt. These economies may be exploited by allowing for extensive use of shared systems.
