Six cell lines were treated with RAD001 for 12 hours before exposure to ionizing radiation and further grown as indicated in Methods. Colony formation was measured after cell fixation and staining with crystal violet, 10–14 days after treatment depending on cell lines. Results were statistically significant (p<0.05) in the combined treatment compared to either treatment alone in all tested cell lines.
