Axial length and IOP were determined using a BVI Axis II A-scanner and a Tono-Pen XL (TM) tonometer, respectively, as previously described by Inglehearn et al. (1). The sample sizes differ because the data were generated from different batches of birds. However, all batches were derived at the Roslin Institute from the same bird lines using the same husbandry and maintenance protocols.
