Equal volumes of active N-SMase fractions from the Mono S FPLC (A) and Superose 12 gel filtration (B) columns were assayed for N-SMase activity, and the presence of N-SMase2 was evaluated by western blot analysis. The results are from a single experiment, which was representative of five different experiments.
