FIGURE 5.

Evaluation of the anti-P. berghei activity of Cpd2 in vivo using the 4-day Peters' assay. At day 0, mice were infected intraperitoneally with 2·106 P. berghei-GFP blood stage parasites and received the first treatment 2 h after and then at the same hour at days 1–3. The Cpd2 dose per injection is indicated for each group of mice. Parasitemia was determined by FACS analysis. Chloroquine (CQ) and vehicle were used as positive and negative controls, respectively. Each group was composed of a minimum of five mice; the results show the mean parasitemia at day 4 (± S.E.) for each group.
