Expression of integrin in glioma cells. The relative mRNA expression levels of (A) CD133 and (B) integrin family members were calculated by QRT-PCR. Each mRNA level is expressed as a proportion of the CD133⁺ glioma cell mRNA level, which was given a value of 1. The QRT-PCR procedure was performed at least two times for each sample and the difference between obtained values was <3%. Results shown are typical of at least two replicate experiments. (C) Neurospheres derived from glioblastoma surgical specimens (GBM61 and GBM69) were immunostained for integrin α3. The spheres positive for integrin α3 were stained in red.
