The Conditional Phenotype of k1 k3 Is Unaffected by Lesions in the EX1 and EX2 Loci Involved in Singlet Oxygen Retrograde Signaling.

Wild-type (wt) plants were grown up alongside ex1 ex2, k1 k3, and the corresponding quadruple mutant, ex1 ex2 k1 k3. All four genotypes grew and developed at the same rate. When plants were transferred to 520 (A) or 1000 (B) μmol photons m⁻² s⁻¹; ex1 ex2 did not display a conditional light stress phenotype, whereas the quadruple mutant displayed the same degreening or necrosis as k1 k3.
