Lateral and top views of the experimental setup. Participants sat facing the experimental apparatus with their right arm supported by air sleds. A start circle, target and screen cursor, representing index fingertip position, was projected on a horizontal back-projection screen. A mirror, located below this screen, reflected the visual display such that it was perceived to be in the same horizontal plane as the arm and fingertip. Flock-of-Bird (FoB) sensors were attached to the upper arm segment and to the forearm support.
