Twenty microliters of supernatant and 16 μg of whole-cell lysates were subjected to SDS-PAGE. (B) Competitive indices of tcpF point mutants. Strains were coinoculated with a ΔlacZ reference strain into mice. Blue and white colonies were counted, and data are reported with respect to the reference strain.
