Examination of the virulence potentials of ATCC 17978 and 17978hm. The virulence potentials of A. baumannii strains ATCC 17978 and 17978hm were examined by counting live versus dead C. elegans nematodes grown on a lawn of the respective A. baumannii test strains. Significant differences in killing were observed at 120 h and 144 h as determined by Student's t test and are indicated by asterisks (***, P < 0.001).
