XL280p is virulent in the inhalation infection model of murine cryptococcosis, and it grows as yeast during infection. (A) Each mouse was inoculated intranasally with 5 × 105 or 5 × 106 fungal cells of XL280p, and animal survival was monitored for 40 days. (B) Mice were inoculated with 5 × 105 fungal cells intranasally.
