Strains initially identified microbiologically as MRSA positive for addition to the collection. Repeat testing (catalase and coagulase tests, Cepheid MRSA GeneXpert analysis) indicated that these two samples were MSSA isolates.
S. epidermidis ATCC strain known to be mecA positive.
