Distribution of total mouse cell homogenate by density shows a majority of lung-extracted cells equilibrate at the higher densities. The nucleus to cell ratio of cells from fraction 1 significantly differs from all other fractions. Composite cell-type classification is based upon transcript and protein expression of lineage-specific markers. Average density data are also found in Fig. 1B.
