The Kernel maps showing smoothed egg densities are based on the number of eggs deposited in each sentinel-ovitrap during one month. Data from the sentinel network encompassing 262 ovitraps distributed over a 5.6 km² urban area in Santa Cruz do Capibaribe and 75 ovitraps over a 0.8 km² urban area of Ipojuca municipal seat.
