Photographs show eye phenotypes in flies from the transgenic lines carrying either of the constructs in the wild-type (+/+) or the mod(mdg4)^u1 mutant (mod) background. Expression of Su(Hw) in transgenic lines carrying the hsp70su(Hw) construct was induced by heat shock. Other designations are as in Figure 1.
