NFAT5 inhibits acetylation of β-catenin. HEK293 cells were transfected with Flag-β-catenin, HA-CBP, and Myc-tagged NFAT5 constructs, as indicated. After 48 h, cells were lysed and Flag-tagged β-catenin was immunoprecipitated using anti-Flag antibody. After several washings, the acetylated and total β-catenin and bound CBP and NFAT5 were analyzed by western blot using antibodies against acetylated lysine, Flag, HA, and Myc (top). Whole-cell lysate was analyzed as control (bottom)
