The effect of light irradiation in HY-PDT reduces viability of HepG2 cells. Cell viability profile for HepG2 cells exposed to increasing amounts of HY with or without light irradiation. All cells were treated with 0, 0.1, 0.2, 0.5 or 1 μg/ml of HY for 8 h with or without light irradiation and incubated for 24 h in the dark. PrestoBlue cell viability assay was performed after 24 h incubation. The percentage of viable cells exposed to various doses of HY was normalized against that of untreated cells. Data are mean±S.E.M. of n=3 independent experiments carried out in triplicates.
