Determination of cell viability by MTT assay. Various cell lines were treated with cecropinXJ in concentrations ranging from 0.01 to 0.5 μM and cell viability was measured by MTT assay. HeLa (human cervical cancer), Hep2 (human laryngeal cancer), MGC (human gastric cancer) and 293T (human embryonic kidney epithelial) cells were cultured in RPMI-1640 medium supplemented with 10% FCS for 24 h at 37°C. Data are expressed as mean ± SEM from three independent experiments.
