qRT-PCR analysis of psp gene expression in P. alba M1302 (ΔpspA), M1303 (ΔpspX), M1304 (ΔpspW), and M1308 (ΔpspR) compared with the wild-type strain. cDNA was synthesized from RNA extracted after 162 h of culture. psp gene expression was normalized to that of the putative hrdB homolog of P. alba and expressed as a percentage of wild-type gene expression.
