The Insall-Salvati ratio was calculated by dividing the length of the patella tendon (LT) by the length of the patella (LP) measured from the lateral radiograph. The modified Insall-Salvati ratio was calculated by dividing the distance from the tibial tuberosity to the inferior pole of the articular surface of the patella (LT2) by the length of the articular surface of the patella (LA).
