The dosage dependence of crocidolite uptake by mesothelial cells. MeT5A cells with 70% confluence were incubated with 1, 3, 5, 10 and 20 µg/cm2 crocidolite for 2 h on two separate occasions (Test 1-1 and Test 1-2). The cytograms (A) and the histogram (B) of Test 1-1 indicate as increase of SSC values with the greater applied dosages of crocidolite. (C) In both of these tests, the mean SSC ratio was proportionally correlated with the applied dosage of crocidolite (p<0.001).
