Comparative viral replication dynamics. Plasma viraemia and proviral DNA loads in PBMC were measured by quantative real-time RT-PCR and quantative PCR respectively over time in rhesus macaques infected with either SIV-rtTAΔnef where dox was withdrawn after 175 days (Group A) (a &b), or where dox was maintained for the duration of the analysis (Group B) (c &d) or infected with SIVΔnef (Group C) (e &f).
