Effect of the IO3 treatment time on iodate reduction activity of excised rice roots. Rice seedlings (cv. “Nipponbare” and “Gohyakumangoku”) were subjected to 0 and 100 μmol L−1 of IO3 for 0, 1, 3, 5, and 7 days. After the IO3 treatment, iodate reduction activity was measured. Data are mean ± range (n = 2) Control: iodate reduction activity of rice roots treated without IO3, IO3 treatment: iodate reduction activity of rice roots treated with IO3.
