IL-15 selectively regulates expression of NFkB target genes. hCMEC/D3 cells were treated for 6 h with either IL-15 (5 ng/ml) or TNF (5 ng/ml). qPCR was used to compare the effect of IL-15 and TNF on expression of TNF-related (upper panel), tight junction (TJ; center panel), and structural proteins (lower panel). Claudin-2, p65, TNFR2, TRAF2, caveolin, and vimentin are potential NFkB target genes, whereas ZO-2 and occludin are not.
