Cartoon illustration of how the XDVF motion vectors are used to deform a rectangular virtual voxel into a hexahedron. The volume change between the initial virtual voxel and the deformed hexahedron is used to quantify the local expansion or contraction of the phantom due to the motion described by the XDVF.
