In transgenic SOD1G93A motor neurons, nitric oxide treatment causes death of about 40% of motor neurons after 48 hours. (A) Survival of motor neurons pretreated with 1, 10, 50 or 200 μM diapocynin before exposure to nitric oxide. (B) Survival of motor neurons pretreated with 1, 10, 50, 200 or 1000 μM apocynin before exposure to nitric oxide.
