Shox2 represses C/EBPα transactivation of Adrb3-luc constructs. (A) Luciferase activity of C3H10T1/2 cells transfected with a 5.13-kb Adrb3 luciferase reporter and either a vector control or 10, 50, or 200 ng of C/EBPα expression vector. C3H10T1/2 cells were also cotransfected with either a vector control or 100 or 200 ng of a Shox2 expression vector. Data are shown as mean ± SEM of three replicates. The entire experiment was repeated three times. *P < 0.05. (B) Coimmunoprecipitation experiments performed in C3H10T1/2 cells transiently transfected with C/EBPα alone or in combination with Flag–Shox2.
